New Year's Eve!

And there's only one thing to say:

Have a good one :)

Like wow...

It's less than 24 hours left of 2009 now! Scary thought...

Going over to Denmark to be with my husband as early as possible when I wake up. Should go to sleep soon since it's half past midnight already. But first thing I'll do when waking up will be to go to a supermarket in town and buy something nice for dinner for the evening. The supermarket near where I live is basically just a convenience store so they definitely don't have something fit for New Year's eve.

I'm getting really tired of my stomach now. I've been having pain since Sunday evening and since then I've barely been able to eat anything because I don't have any appetite. Feels like my stomach is taking a holiday, but a painful one...

Now I should be going to sleep, though it's very tempting to play some more Sims3, World adventures before sleep. I'm tired enough to fall asleep sitting in my computer chair now, but at the same time I need to get used to staying awake late because I can't go to sleep this "early" tomorrow night, and if I go to bed now most likely my stomach would keep me awake anyways. So I can't really decide, Sims3 or sleep.

Anyways, enough for today, eh, for now. Might post again before 2010 :P

Christmas abstinence...

What can I say. Christmas 2009 has been one of my best in my 24 years. We had a white Christmas for the first time since 2001 and I spent Christmas at my parents place, with my husband, parents and grandmother and my cat of course. It just couldn't have been any better.
The gingerbread cookies I made last week were perfection, they had the exact right taste, color and texture as gingerbread cookies should have and they soaked up the milk exactly like they should. So delicious!
The glazed ham this Christmas was really good too!

Yesterday I finished my gingerbread cookies mum sent with us when my husband and I went back home on Sunday. And as I stood there having my last home made cookies, it hit me: I won't feel that flavor again in about 51 weeks! Sure, I can buy factory made cookies in the supermarket, but it's just not the same! And sure, I can make gingerbread cookies any time of the year, but it just won't be the same! They should be baked and enjoyed with Christmas lights around you!
And I won't get to see the wonderful Christmas tree at home again until December 23rd 2010! I only got to enjoy it for 5 days this year.

I love the flavors of Christmas, and all the lights, and the cozy atmosphere when sitting with your family with all the lights around, listening to Christmas carols which hasn't been overplayed in the radio, watching Christmas movies- especially the ones from Disney.

I miss all of it now... Yesterday when I had that one last cookie, I felt depressed and even started crying. Everything just hit me.

Will next Christmas be just as good? Will everyone be gathered again? Only time will tell, but I sure hope 2010 will be like this Christmas has been.

That being said. I'm not really looking forward to the new year. I can't help feeling anxious about what 2010 will bring, and I can't help feeling old because I'll be 25 in October...

Holidays are over...

Today my vacation ends. Hubby and I are going back home from my parents place, and tomorrow I start working again, even though it's only 3 days of work before New Year's eve. I'm not overly looking forward to going home today I must admit. The week I've had at my parents place has been too short! I want to spend more time with my parents and my cat! I have only met one of my childhood friends, and haven't had time to meet my other friends. The days has just been too busy! My friends are not overly happy about me not seeing them when I'm at my parents place, but what to do? There's just not time... My parents even live neighbor with one of my friends, and I haven't had time to meet that friend even for 2 minutes this week.
On the more positive side though: It's been a great week, surrounded by family and it's been plenty of snow and the first white Christmas since 2001. I have gotten a lot of rest and been relaxing most of the time, so hopefully the three days of work this coming week will be smooth.

My husband and I are going to take the bus from Gothenburg to Copenhagen today, a small trip that takes 4.5 hours! We could have taken the train too, but we'd just like to buy a ticket, not the whole train or railroad! The train ticket prices are just insane, one ticket would have cost about the same or more, as the bus ticket cost for two!

Oh well, I'd better start preparing for the trip...

Some snow

Here's a video of my cat and snowing outside my parents bedroom window on Christmas day. Yep, it's me talking to my cat haha

And a video from the balcony this morning- Boxing day. More SNOW

I'm a beginner with the video camera, but it will be better later on :P

Christmas!

Well, since we celebrate Christmas on Christmas eve and not Christmas day here in Sweden. A MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

Our Christmas tree is decorated, the ham has been glazed, all presents has been put under the tree yesterday. And all Gingerbread cookies has been baked- and what a success they were this year! I really do have a talent with baking :D

Our Christmas tree, with presents under:

Outside it's WHITE. We are having a WHITE CHRISTMAS :D First time since 2001 we have a white Christmas in my home village! We went out on the countryside outside a nearby village yesterday and it was so beautiful with the snow and forest. Like a Christmas card!

A couple of days ago, while waiting at the train station for my husband to arrive, it was snowing heavily, so just to amuse myself a little while waiting for my husband's train to arrive, I took a picture of myself in the snow:

So with these pictures, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! May you celebrate today or tomorrow :)

Almost Christmas!

Only 2 days left until Christmas eve. I say 2 days because it's just 2h left of dec. 21st. It's been a really cold day today, not been "warmer" than -9 degrees C today, but down to nearly -17 degrees in the morning. Most of the day has been hovering at around -10 degrees and we also got a little bit more snow in the late afternoon. More snow is coming tomorrow and until Christmas eve, maybe up to 20cm! The last time I had a white Christmas was in 2001, so that's how uncommon it is here in the area around Gothenburg.
My cold is getting a bit better now. Have gone through the day without nap today at least, and even had the energy to make a ginger bread cookie dough earlier tonight. Going to bake some cookies tomorrow and on Wednesday. Tomorrow my husband is coming up too from Copenhagen, so tomorrow evening I'll be with my honey again :) On Wednesday my grandmother is coming up from Gothenburg too, and my uncle is coming on Christmas eve. I'll try to take some pictures too in the next few days but I'll be fairly busy so I'll see if I have time to run around outside in the cold with my camera.

Still early now, but I'm going to call it a night and go to sleep early. With some luck my cold can be gone completely by tomorrow, all depends on how well I sleep and how much rest I get.

4th of Advent and shopping trip with my parents

Went to a nearby town today, and took pictures along the road. Dad drove because I was too tired and suffering from a cold so don't worry about me taking pictures in the car.

On a train

I'm currently sitting on a Swedish X2000 train, zooming past the towns and countryside of the west coast in about 200kmph. It's snowy outside, not as much here as it was down in Copenhagen- or as I now call it, Hopelesshagen! But it's much much colder up here, I've just been on the phone with mum while the train was standing still for a couple of minutes in Halmstad station, and mum told me it's -12 degrees in my hometown which I'll arrive in just after noon today. I'll be in Gothenburg in just about 1 hour, and there I have to wait for almost 1.5 hour to then take another train that goes to my hometown outside of Gothenburg. I'll see my little hairy monster in just a few hours now :D

And to round it off, a picture of my little hairy monster, also known as Nisse^^

Finally!

Today is the last day of the COP15 climate meeting. Now after all the pollution this meeting caused, and all the problems the meeting has caused for us who live and/or work in Copenhagen, can we have our city back? I'd like to be able to go to work without risking facing canceled trains because of politicians visit town...

COP15, quite a flop...

Hope Copenhagen is back to normal when I come back again after Christmas. Going up to my parents place tomorrow morning for the holidays. Hubby is coming up on Tuesday.
I have vacation now!

Winter has come!

And the result of the pictures taken this morning...

Just wanted to share it with you :)

It was a good day until...

My husband and I picked up the letter in the mailbox downstairs when coming back from town after dinner... It was a letter from the hospital, about a jaw surgery my husband might need if he's going to fix his teeth. I've banned him from having that surgery done and told him to call the hospital in question, cancel the consultation and tell them to never ever contact my husband again, or they will be haunted by a very very angry wife who WILL sue them so badly they will have to close the whole clinic!
I wanted to take the letter, tear it into billions of pieces and then burn it. My husband didn't let me but did assure me that he'd call and cancel it. I've told him several times in the past weeks that I'm gone if he does have that surgery! I want him the way he is NOW. No more laser treatments of acne scars and no jaw surgery or stupid braces! I won't have it! I want him the way he is, the way he looked when we first met 4 years ago. I can't stand seeing his face burnt by a stupid laser, and I definitely won't be able to see him in pain after an unnecessary surgery. I've even banned him from going to that dentist again.
I really do hate dentists, and especially the dentists who deal with braces and stuff. I've been there done that and the process was both painful physically and emotionally, and the nearly 3 years it took for me from having teeth taken out until the braces were out were a waste of time seeing some of my teeth has now moved back to where they once were and my stupid wisdom teeth has taken the space that was once there.
That being said, I haven't seen a dentist in over 3.5 years, and see no reason to go see one soon!

To make this post less gloomy...

My husband and I went out for dinner today. We have a lot to celebrate in the coming few days. On the 15th we celebrate 4 years as a couple, on the 17th we have been married for 2 months and on the 18th it was 3 years ago we went to China together for the first time- or I should say it was my first time going to China, and my husband's first time ever introducing a girlfriend to his family!
Anyways, I'm working all week until friday, and at about 7am saturday morning I'm going to take a train up to my parents place to spend Christmas week there. My husband was supposed to come with me on saturday but something came in between so he'll come up on the 22nd instead, unless he decides to follow my advice in the matter and cancel the thing that came in between and come with me on the 19th.
So since there's so much to celebrate this week, and so little time to go out, we went out today.
At first my husband tried to drag me into an ecologic western restaurant, but I really didn't want western food today and definitely not ecologic because I was fed up with that in high school, and I eat western food 5 times per week at work in my lunch break. So after deciding that restaurant we first went to smelled nothing better than the cafeteria at work, along with being in an area of downtown I absolutely HATE, we decided to go to one of our standard places, but on our way there we went past this little Korean BBQ place and it looked really nice so we went in there and OMG it was great!
We ordered Korean BBQ and had our own little gas grill on the table, and got some kimchi, salad, rice and sauce, and some filet of beef and vegetables to grill. So you could say we cooked our own dinner, just didn't have to prepare it. And the taste was amazing! It was my first time trying Korean food except for a noodle dish with black bean sauce I had in China 3 years ago. But I'm addicted now! Next time my husband and I go to China we are so going to a Korean BBQ restaurant at least once! And we have to go to a Teppanyaki restaurant too! We tried Teppanyaki in Beijing in may and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever tried.

Here in Copenhagen there's not many restaurants that has the real taste of Asian foods. It's always changed a bit to fit the taste here. Even the few restaurants which does have authentic menu has minor changes compared to if having the same kind of dish in China, and there's not ONE Chinese restaurant here which doesn't have at least one dish with sweet and sour sauce (which doesn't exist in China) and at least one dish with deep fried pork/chicken/beef/prawn. I only know of 2 restaurants in Copenhagen that serves Beijing duck and that has to be pre-ordered and it's a requirement to be at least 4 people and it costs a fortune per person!

On another note. I've found the Gourmet King twice today when playing Restaurant City. My friend in Singapore has become an expert in finding the Gourmet King by now, but unfortunately one can only claim 2 things from the king per day so I have to remember to hit the link tomorrow for a couple of things :/ And day after tomorrow... I've already gotten my 2 things from the Gourmet King today, and my friend has found him 6 times in a day or two now!

Oh wow, long post today. But the night is young. 10pm now and I'm too stressed up about that letter so I can't sleep yet :(

Christmas party at work!

Yesterday my job had its annual Christmas party, and to just have some fun and hang out with workmates outside of shifthours I attended the party- it's like the only time per year I'm in a party which isn't a family gathering. Anyways, it was yesterday evening and despite being really tired from working a "normal" shift (7.30am-3pm instead of my now 9.30am-5pm) after working until 6pm thursday, I had a really good time.
We had an Elvis copy doing a show between the starter and the main food, and that show was great. Both funny and very high standard of the songs, so that guy was good at his job for sure!
Other than that it was a lot of joking around and making parodies of everything and it made everyone laugh out loud many times through the night.
I left the party quite early though. I was just too sleepy after the long day and getting up at 5.30am after working until 6pm the day before and falling asleep sometime around midnight so it was a long day indeed. Along with that, there was only one bus per hour from anywhere near my job and it wasn't too tempting to walk about 2km to a train station on a friday evening when many companies have their Christmas party, so at 10.30pm I took the bus and after a couple of transfers between transports I got home at 11.15pm and fell asleep shortly after midnight. Woke up at 10am this morning and still pretty tired, but I had not expected to not be tired this weekend.

But one thing is for sure about last night: The word "Financial Crisis" doesn't exist in my workplace!

Christmas preparations

Today I've been over to Malmö to do some Christmas shopping, and find a dress to wear at the Christmas party at work on friday. I found a couple of presents today, and I did find a dress. I found a red dress in a light and silky material and it's reaching to the knees so it's not too short. But I do have a feeling my workmates will be shocked when they see me wearing it. None of them have seen me in a dress before, except for the workmates who have seen the wedding pictures.

In the past couple of days I've been doing some rather drastic changes in my restaurant in Restaurant City. I now have a winter theme in the restaurant, and it's quite a bit of Christmas decorations now. RC is going to release more Christmas decorations soon so I've saved quite a bit of space in my restaurant for that. And after Christmas I can still keep my restaurant the way it is now and just have the typical Christmas items put into storage. There's not much Christmas about snowmen and non decorated Christmas trees with some snow on. But Santa and such has to go into hiding after Christmas again.
I still haven't unlocked all the Christmas dishes, or the dishes Gourmet King can give you if a friend has found him. I've found him twice, but haven't seen or heard about any of my Facebook friends finding him. It is however true that not many of my Facebook friends who play Restaurant City are very active players. Only very few I know play it quite seriously while most of my friends are still below level 20. I hope when some friend DO find him that they'll let me know about it.

Had a long msn chat with a friend from Singapore yesterday afternoon. It was a lot of fun and both of us are RC players, and he has to be the friend I have who knows the most about RC. Really nice to exchange experiences and help eachother out. But I do find it very facinating that my friend has never experienced winter and snow! Like wow, never seen snow! I've seen enough snow to last for a lifetime and pretty much wish I could just do like the birds in autumn- move south for the winter and come back in spring!

Well to make a long post less long, I'd better round it up now and head to bed.
So nights, and I'll update again through the week.

Yet another day with DSB!

And they're just as hopeless as ever... This morning when I went to work, I ran between the trains to catch a commuter train that would enable me to take an earlier bus to work and not have to sit at a busstop for 20 minutes. But when I had gotten onto the commuter train after some running, and found a seat, it was announced that the train would be cancelled and the next train would come about 7-8 minutes later. The next train came and I took that one, but had to sit at the busstop for 20 minutes waiting for the next bus going to work.

Work today has been great. Many workmates really appreciated the Christmas decorations I put up yesterday afternoon after most people had gone home for the day. I actually don't think I've had such a smooth and problem free day at work for many months now to be honest. It would have been a perfect day if DSB had just done their job which is to provide public transport which is on time!

On my way home from work everything was smooth until I came into Copenhagen Central station. Looking at the departure screen I saw my train had been delayed 9 minutes and a couple of minutes later it was cancelled due to technical problems, but instead of letting people off at another platform, of course the cancelled train had to block the platform my regional train was going to arrive at minutes later. Said and done, the platform was changed for my train, and if that wasn't enough the escalator up from the platform where I was waiting was not running so I had to run up the escalator and then go down on another platform to catch a train which of course ran late because the cancelled train occupied the regional train's original platform.

I ended up getting home about 40 minutes later than usual, and that included a quick trip to the supermarket after getting off the train.

I really need to have a car soon! Can't stand DSB and their constant poor excuses and delays! It's only a matter of time until I'll take a taxi and send the bill to DSB when they do like this...

Oh, btw. The initials DSB does fit them quite well too. It's short for Dumb Stupid Bastards/Buggers!

Rant over!

Just another day with DSB First...

Yet another day of train delays and cancelled trains...
My husband and I went to a big shopping center called Fields today. We missed one train by less than 3 minutes, and then the train we planned to take which should have arrived our station minutes later just zoomed by after being delayed for about 9 minutes and therefore going non-stop from the airport to the Central station. After about 20 minutes wait on a cold train platform a train finally came and 3 minutes later we got off the train again to go to the shopping center.
We had lunch the first thing we arrived the shopping center. Went to a Sushi/Thai place we had not tried before, but it was very nice! My husband had beef ramen, and I had chicken ramen, and then we finished it off by ordering some sushi too. My husband had some salmon and tuna sushi on rice. And I had some vegetarian alternative because I don't like fish. The vegetarian alternative were some cucumber maki, rice covered with fried tofu (those were delicious!) and then rice with omelette on top and a piece of seaweed holding it in place. I'm not a fan of seaweed but I could handle it by overusing the soy sauce and put a piece of ginger on top haha

I also bought a Christmas present today. But for who it is or what it is, I won't say ;)

Anyways, after a few hours in Fields we decided to go back home again. Managed to catch a train instantly, but when I glanced at the screen it was big time disaster! Some trains were delayed for up to 57 minutes! I took a picture of that, and I have many similar pictures from my earlier "episodes" with DSB First. Being a commuter, I have to endure them at least 5 days per week until my husband and I can buy a car :P

Have fun with the pictures... The first one is from today.

All in all, I think my cat's butt pretty much sums up the service and accuracy of DSB First! May DSB First smell cat farts for a year! LOL

TGIF tomorrow!

Only one more workday this week and thanks heaven for that! My feet are quite litterally killing me. So much pain when wearing my safety shoes I can barely even walk after a few hours of wearing those shoes. I bought new insoles today on my way home from work, and those insoles should be better than my current. The ones I bought today are also made of gel, but they have some harder gel around to keep it stable around the heel, and under the heel and front pad of the foot it has some beewax shaped pattern which makes the gel even softer in those places. My current gel insoles are just gel but not much support, stability or flexibility under, so when standing on them it's still too hard to stand on, and when walking it becomes too unstable I get that acid feeling in my legs even when walking slowly.
Other than the insole problem, my safety shoes are pretty good. I've worn them a lot now so the soles are very flexible and the leather around the foot fits my feet now too. I don't even notice there is a steel cap on the toes now, just so used to it I guess. Only time I've noticed the steel cap lately would be yesterday when my foot slipped inside my shoe and slided into the steel when playing table tennis.
Oh well enough about that.

Today I've been looking everywhere at work to find the box with Christmas decorations that should be somewhere in the far end of the warehouse, but alas, I didn't find it! Seems like there won't be any decorating tomorrow afternoon, unless some workmate comes forward and knows where the box is. I can of course buy some new Christmas decorations, but when we do have some somewhere we might aswell use that instead of wasting money on buying new decorations.

Dang, I've been having hiccups for the past 10 minutes now! Must be the cold air in the room. It has just been raining outside so it's humid cold in the room now even though the room temperature is totally fine.

Better take care of my hiccups now, and get my hair dried so I can go to sleep. This morning I was awaked by drilling at 7.50am, sure, I was snoozing and planned to get up about 5 minutes later, but it was the 2nd time this week those idiots working on the facade started drilling at 8am or before! If they do it tomorrow aswell, I will go out in nightdress or underwear, unplug their machine and then cut off the cable and put chewinggum in the powersupply thing on the wall!

Mid-week!

Yay, halfway through the work week! Only 2 more workdays now and then I can just do whatever I want for 2 days. I'm planning to start looking for Christmas presents this weekend since I can't go shopping at all after work (shops close at the same time I'm off work, or close shortly after), and I don't want to do all my shopping the day before Christmas LOL I already pretty much know what to buy for my husband, but I'm not going to shout it out here in case he reads my blog tehe

I bought some Christmas lights for outdoor use today in the supermarket. Put it up on the handrail on the balcony, so now the balcony looks really pretty. Going to put up more lights both inside and outside but that will have to be in the weekend so I can put it up in daylight. It was indeed quite complicated to put up lights on the balcony in darkness, and the only light I had when putting the lights up today was from the kitchen through the kitchen window, but that light was pretty limited.

My feet hurts pretty bad today. Have been standing pretty much in the same place all day at work, in a pair of hard protection shoes! I really need to put better insoles in them because I always get pain in my feet from those shoes, especially in the front pad of my feet. And if I don't have insoles with some arch support in those shoes I get severe pain from a nearly 5 year old ankle injury. Right now I have gel insoles in my working shoes, but it doesn't help much. Need something better, and mainly need something wich is very soft in the front part, good support for the arch and stable for the heel. I quite wish Crocs would make safety shoes! I can wear Crocs all day at work without getting pain. But since we have forklifts that weighs well over a ton, we are (finally) required to wear safety shoes that can take at least about 500kg pressure. Sure, it can't resist the weight of the biggest forklifts, but it can make that empty pallet or heavy box hurt less if dropping it on the foot! And it will give some protection hopefully if being run over on the feet by a forklift, better protection than sport shoes or a pair of Crocs anyways.

But when it comes to safety shoes and playing table tennis... Well, not the best of combinations LOL I played today in the break with some workmates and of course hit my big toe quite hard into the steel shell in the front part of my shoe when trying to hit the ball! That hurt big time I dare say, not far from running toe first into a door frame or furniture! It was pretty much the same, only differece was that it was my foot sliding inside my shoe into the steel, rather than accidentially kicking on some object. The tip of my right big toe is still a bit tender now from sliding into the hard part of my shoe. If I play table tennis tomorrow I'll make sure to have the velcro strap more firm onto my foot so my foot can't slide forwards in the shoe when running. We play around the table by the way, hence the running. Today I won 2-3 times something and was in the final almost everytime, even after hurting my toe.

Hanging on Restaurant City right now at the same time as I write this. Some limited dishes on there now, but something tells me it will be just as difficult to get the ingredients this time as it was for the Halloween dishes. I managed to unlock all the Halloween dishes, but I'm yet to find two apples, one pumpkin and one turkey to unlock all the Thanksgiving dishes. I did manage to get butter as a free ingredient when answering the quiz today, and that enabled me to unlock the Corn on the cob dish. And I was lucky enough to get bread as a first friend visit ingredient when visiting a newly added friend today :)
To make sure I unlock the dishes, I'll resort to buying Playfish Cash tomorrow to buy some ingredients with that, just to unlock the dishes before they're gone once and for all. I was planning to buy some Playfish cash about now anyways, so I don't mind having to buy ingredients that way now. It's by far easier than adding tons of friends on Facebook just for trading. I'm also going to help a friend get some ingredients and other items :) That's just how I am... I like to help, and to give gifts :) At least when I have known someone for a longer period of time, and this person is someone I've "known" for nearly 2 years now, but we haven't been facebook friends until now, just been on the same petting list in (fluff)Friends. But he did give me quite a laugh on Twitter earlier today LOL Took some time before he realised who I am :D At least that made my day more fun while working. Oops, yes, I'm guilty as charged! I update on Twitter while working :O LOL But really, it only takes a few seconds on my iPhone, so it's no problem :)

Now I wish my hair would dry a bit faster so I can go to sleep soon. Quite tired today even after all that coffee I've had at work.

Oh, and when I've finished Christmas decorating at home, I'll take some pictures and post on here. With some luck, it will be up in the weekend.

Some days are just great!

There will be a Christmas after all! The project at work has been delayed again. I'm very happy about it because it will enable me to be with my family for longer than just the actual Christmas weekend, but at the same time feeling a little bit annoyed about it because the system currently in use is not the most stable on the planet. But I do think they made a good decision to wait with the new system until it's been fully tried out and everyone has had good time to learn how to use it.

Today has also been one of November's few sunny days! So all in all, a good day.

I'm going to be a Santa at work on Friday together with at least one of my workmates. We're going to surprise the morning team on Monday by doing Christmas decorations in our department on Friday afternoon when most people has started their weekend. One of the advantages with being on the afternoon team! So on Monday morning when people come to work, they'll be greeted by Santas and glitter! We might even overdo it a bit and put up some lights, but we'll have to buy some first then so I'll see if we put up lights or not.

I'm going to put up lights at home in the weekend anyways. Sunday is first of Advent! Wow, Christmas is coming fast!

Time to get my hair a bit dryer now, and transfer some Christmas music to my iPhone.

I really do sincerely dislike mondays!

The weekend has been totally great. My parents came down to Copenhagen to visit me and my husband. We went to Tivoli on saturday evening after enjoying a nice dinner at a Chinese restaurant outside Tivoli. Saturday was the best day this far in November when it comes to weather. It was sunny and not much wind at all, a perfect day to be outside a lot. Tivoli was very nice. So pretty with all the Christmas lights, I took some pictures with my phone, transfering pictures right now from phone to computer. Oh, and it might be a mobile phone camera, but I do have 8.1 megapixel camera (SonyEricsson C905) so the picture quality should be fair enough.

Some pictures I took.

I have some more, but they need to be edited first to be shown in the right direction.

Yesterday we did Malmö, and had lunch up in a tall building called Kronprisen. It was Christmas lunch and it was really delicious! But due to rain I didn't take much pictures yesterday, but here are some anyways.

Today it's monday again. And as you might see on the title of my blog today, I'm not a fan of mondays! And this monday was no exception. The system at work went down again for about 2 hours, and it was the third time in less than 2 weeks the system went down, so both me and my workmates are quite fed up with system errors! Luckily I bought Anti-stress pills yesterday (it's just some small candy with coffee flavour, but the package it comes in says "Anti Stress Pills") LOL
Now I'm just trying to get my hair dry, and re-charge myself to cope with the rest of the week. Feeling pretty tired today due to the busy weekend.

Going to relax some more now and sleep as soon as my hair is dry enough.

TGIF!

Finally Friday! And not too soon! Been a tiring week at work with all those system breakdowns and trying to catch up after it. We caught up in my area today, but there's still several workmates going in tomorrow to help other areas at work. I'm not going to work until Monday. My parents are coming down tomorrow and staying until Sunday so I simply don't have time to work tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow evening my parents, my husband and I are going to have a look at the Christmas market in Tivoli, it opens today and will be open until December 30th. We visited the Christmas market in Tivoli last year aswell, it was very cozy with all the lights, and there's just no such thing as having too many candy apples! Last year it was snowing heavily, but tomorrow it's supposed to be nearly 10 degrees outside, now that's contrasts! We went to Tivoli the same weekend last year as it will be this time. We really do have an unusually warm November this year, yesterday I only needed to wear my workclothes (trousers, T-shirt and safety shoes) and a softshell coat on my way to and from work, and I didn't feel cold at all.

I'll bring my camera to Tivoli tomorrow and take a lot of pictures. Will try to put some of them on here tomorrow evening or on Sunday, or just as soon as I have time after the trip to Tivoli.

Now I'm going to have a late dinner, and then tidy some at home so my husband and I don't have to feel ashamed when my parents come LOL

System is a down...

Yet again the system at work has been down! So my first 4 hours today at work were mainly spent in the coffee room, chatting with workmates and just waiting for the system to be up and running again. And of course, when the system was finally up and running again, some people had already finished their shift for today or would finish an hour or two later. Computer systems are just great (not). Can't live with them, can't live without them... Sometimes I miss the good old days where people used pen and paper instead of relying on something which can brake down in the blink of an eye. It's the second time in less than a week we've had a major breakdown in the system and it hasn't been the same problem these times, and hasn't been the same problem as when the system has gone down before. It's really quite odd and now is an especially bad time for systems to break down because December is usually a very busy month and December is coming fast now.

I found my The Sims3 case today. It was in the bookshelf, so now I'm re-installing The Sims 3 on my computer. I just hope I'll be able to find all the downloads I had to my game before. I know my previously saved games and families are lost, but that matters less. Can always just make new families when playing. It is the custom items I'd like to have again now. Downloaded houses, hairs, clothes. Oh well, at least the game is installing now. Will maybe take a look at it tomorrow evening and play some, today I'm just too sleepy.

I've also re-installed iTunes today and synchronized my iPhone with my new iTunes. That is something that really bothers me with iPhone! You are only able to have it synced with one iTunes at a time, which means you'll lose all the music you have if you have to use another computer for some reason, or if your computer has been formatted for one reason or another. I've lost my music twice from my iPhone, first time was when I got this laptop I'm using now, and I bought this one because my old one broke down- possible motherboard... And the second time was today when wanting to be able to add music from my laptop after upgrading it to Windows 7 the other day. Same computer as a few months ago, but still had to delete the music from my iPhone and sync it, just because all softwares were deleted when I upgraded my system. It's pretty damn annoying! Other than the iTunes issue, I absolutely love my iPhone. Best phone I've ever had! It fits my needs perfectly and the things it doesn't have as default can be downloaded from the application store.

I really do sleep too little these days. I've been falling asleep around 1.30-2am several nights in a row now, partly because my hair is wet, and partly because I get home from work 2 hours later these days and still have things to do at home. Of course, mostly my time at home means relaxing, but I do need many hours to just calm down after a workday. Even if I feel tired from working hard all day, I can't fall asleep unless I relax for several hours when I come home. That is one big reason why I work daytime/afternoon shift and not evening shift. If I work until 11pm and come home around midnight, I won't be able to fall asleep until maybe 3am! My current worktimes, 10am to 6pm is bad enough right now... Have no time to actually do things after work because most things are closed still when I'm going to work, and most things have already closed when I'm off work. And housework? Nah, no time for that either. I don't even eat dinner daily simply because I feel it's too late in the evening to eat at 8pm or later. My first priority when I come home is to take a shower so my hair is dry when it's time to sleep.

Weekends? Well, not much relax on those either, you have to do everything you didn't have time to do in the weekdays sometime, so usually my weekends means doing laundry, maybe some cleaning and actually spending some quality time with my husband for more than 5 minutes just before sleep. In the weekends we can actually enjoy eachother's company in daytime! And that time is worth so much I can't even put words to it!

Seems my Sims 3 has finished installing finally. Might take a quick look at it today even.

Better take a quick look at The Sims 3 now, put my SonyEricsson C905 to charge and then go to sleep...

Tuesday

Busy busy day at work. Really sleepy now.
My husband passed his theory test for drivers licence today, and that's really great! Now he just have to pass the driving test too, after taking the risk course which includes driving on slippery surface.

Still really like Windows 7. My computer has never been working better than now. I just still need to re-install Live messenger (which I rarely use for chatting) and The Sims 3. But I'm not in a hurry with it. Need to find my case for The Sims 3 to type in the serial for my game. It's somewhere around here, but I don't have the energy to look for it right now. Not feeling like playing now anyways. Too busy on Facebook after work and with my blog and Twitter. And this weekend my parents are coming down to visit so need to prepare for that both at home and prepare myself for hosting parents by relaxing as much as possible now in the week.

Even though I've been on B12 shots for almost 3 weeks now, I'm still pretty tired. I'm able to work but it's really not much more than that... But I think I would have been more tired if I had taken B12 pills instead of the shots. B12 shots works way faster than pills.

Think I'll relax some more now. Still waiting for my hair to dry, or I'd already be asleep now...

Windows 7

I ended up upgrading to Windows 7 yesterday. I'm now running Windows 7 Ultimate and it's great! My computer can now use its RAM for other things instead of using it up on running the system, and my computer is now much faster than before. Took a while to backup the C drive yesterday and then install Windows 7, and then it took even longer to re-install softwares after the upgrade finished. I now have a fully functional laptop with most of the softwares I use. Just need to re-install The Sims 3 and fix my QQ music playlists again and everything will be great! I'm yet to download Live messenger, but seeing I rarely or never chat there I can so live without it! I mostly use Live messenger to see when I get emails to my hotmail. My prefered chat software is QQ, it's very reliable and not as unstable as Live messenger.

Oh well, I'd better focus on getting my laptop back to normal- but with the new system :)

Windows Vista or 7?

So it's Sunday. A sleepy day indeed as nothing is open in Denmark, or well, a few smaller supermarkets are open but that's about it. I haven't been outside today at all, been too sleepy so spent the day at home doing as little as possible and thinking about if I should or shouldn't upgrade my Vista to Windows 7. Said and done, I'm now backing up my whole C drive into D drive and when that is finished I'll give Windows 7 a go. I really do hate Vista so the sooner I get rid of it the better!
Vista is probably the worst OS ever made by Windows! The only good thing about Vista is the graphics. But other than that it's just heavy and slow! I'm pretty sure it did kill my old laptop too... But it's so not gonna get my new laptop so bye bye Vista!
Now I'm going to actually enjoy my 4GB ram! Vista has been eating most of it just to keep running. And I rarely or never re-start my computer simply because Vista takes half a day to start. So at night I just close the screen and let my computer sleep. That way I can use it faster next time. Maybe with Windows 7 I'll be able to let my computer turn off completely more often. It's damn annoying with the strong blue lights blinking anyways when computer is just in sleep mode, always have to cover it with some clothes to not look like there's an ambulance parked in the bedroom!

Going to have some dinner now. Hopefully my backup will be finished after eating. Would like to change OS already tonight :P

TGIF even be it a 13th!

What a week! I'm knackered. It's friday evening @10.30pm and my husband and I are about to go to sleep even though it's my husband's birthday today. Both of us are just really sleepy, but I'm probably the most sleepy. Has been a quite ok day today, except for the friday 13th syndrome at work LOL The system went down just before noon, and when I was off work at 5pm the IT people were still troubleshooting and fixing the server! Apparently four very important switches had burnt. If that wasn't the friday 13th ghost I don't know what it was LOL I've never heard about one of those things happening before at work, and it just had to happen today.

Anyways, us in the "late crew" (we start 2h later and finish 2h later than the other workmates) finished work bit earlier today. We couldn't do our normal tasks today anyways due to the server crash, so we did some other things instead. It was friday bar friday at work today, so instead of just bumming around doing little or nothing until 5pm we went to the friday bar to hang out with a couple of other workmates. The friday bar is always nice, even though I don't drink beer or wine (or anything else with alcohol for that matter). They do serve Cola aswell, or Sprite or just mineral water. No matter what you drink, it's always nice to just sit down and relax with a drink and chat with workmates, play dart or some table tennis before going home for the weekend.

The weather here in Copenhagen is really bad at the moment. All week has just been pretty cold and rainy. Typical for the season, but it's always as boring every year. Makes me want to do like the summer birds do- MOVE SOUTH FOR THE WINTER!

My Windows updates has finally finished downloading now, so time to turn off computer for the first time in weeks, and go to sleep. And yup, I normally just put it to stand-by over night... Takes ages to start Vista! I really do hate Vista! Thinking about upgrading to Windows 7 if it isn't too complicated to change system...

Anyways. Sleep time :P

Thursday 12th

Oh dear. Tomorrow is friday 13th! But it isn't just any friday 13th, it's also my husband's birthday and he's turning 25. I'm not into superstition and such, so for me, tomorrow is just a normal friday, which is the best day of the week and happens to be my husband's birthday aswell. Going to get up earlier than normal to celebrate him in the morning before I go to work, and then there will be a little more celebration when I come back from work. Nothing big, just a nice home cooked dinner and some cake.

Going to take my B12 shot tomorrow morning before I go to work too. But that will only take a couple of minutes or so.

I had a look at engrish.com a few mintues ago, and reacted about the picture from Suzhou which says Look out, knock head. I sent a pretty much identical picture to them nearly 3 years ago now and that wasn't put up on the page, now a sign like that is up, but I'm not mentioned. So I have just sent an email to them pointing out that I sent them that sign years ago. I don't ask them to use my photo instead or aswell, I just feel it's little to ask for to be mentioned in the "photo courtesy" for the sign. I feel it's not right to only give someone else the credit for finding that sign when I found it in early january 2007 and submitted it to engrish.com shortly after. Oh well. I'll see what they reply if they reply to my email...

Feeling pretty sleepy today. It's been a busy week at work, and I've been working a little bit harder than I should have, considering the fact that I've been on sickleave for 2 weeks. I should have started a bit more slow and easy, but went onto fullspeed at once more or less.

Wearing lenses today for the first time in a couple of weeks. My eyes are not overly happy about it today it seems. It's night and day lenses, but despite putting them in this morning, new, I think I'll take them out already tonight and just let my eyes rest for a while. It's always troublesome when taking a new pair of lenses, seems to take some time for the lens to get along with my eyes. After a few days use I don't even feel I wear lenses. It's always like that with a new pair of lenses, even in periods where I use it almost every day and keep them in for up to 4 days straight. Just like having to walk in a new pairs of shoes really... Not comfortable until they've been worn for a while.

Think I'll take my lenses out now, and get ready for sleep real soon. I'll probably get up at 7am tomorrow instead of at 8am. Want celebrate my husband and give him the birthday gift I've bought for him, before I go to work :)

Wednesday

Halfway to the weekend. Today has been a great day! The train into town was on time for once, and a faster commuter train was in when I came down the escalator at the commuter train part of the central station. So I caught that commuter train, and then I arrived my work area earlier than usual, was expecting to having to wait for my bus for about 20 minutes but then a bus I'm never able to catch came, so I took that one today, and arrived work even before I would have gotten on my usual bus. Could just sit at work and relax with some coffee for nearly 1 hour before my shift started! Wish everyday was like this.
My workday was a little bit unusual too today, I helped a workmate moving some products and shelves today instead of doing my usual stuff. Was nice with a change and also nice to work with someone and just chat while working. Just did my usual task the last 1.5 hour today. Now I know why my forklift gets stuck too. The driving wheel on it must have the wrong dimension. I didn't drive my usual forklift today, but a workmate was driving it and managed to get stuck on a rubber carpet, and when I compared my usual forklift with the one I drove today which is the same model, I could see my usual one barely has any air space between the floor and the lowest part of the forklift, while the one I drove today had space. Of course the workmate got stuck in the slope today too, but we were prepared for it...

Now it's just about two weeks left until first of Advent if I'm not mistaken. I don't really keep track on it very well these days I must admit. Anyways. I'm going to put up some electric candles in the windows fairly soon. It's so cozy and gives extra light in this dark season.
I still haven't started christmas shopping. But I'll wait until the november salary comes. It will be plenty of time to shop until Christmas, and I'm not going to buy much anyways. Just a little something for my closest family and some friends, but nothing big.
Feels quite incredible it's just a little more than a month left until Christmas, this year has been so fast! Doesn't feel like nearly a year has gone since last Christmas. Interesting how the speed of time changes with your age. When I was younger the years felt very long, but since high school or so, the years has just gone by in the speed of light.
In April it was 5 years since I graduated from high school, but it feels like it was yesterday. My husband and I have been together for 4 years in December. Wow, time has just been flying!

But now I have a mission! And it has nothing to do with Christmas, working or how fast time is. I really have to deal with the Chinese issue! I have to learn it! It's been 4 years since I first started learning a little, but I'm still totally unable to communicate with my in-laws! That has to change, I have to spend more time with the books and remember what I read. Time to learn those spiderwebs (ehh, characters)! Next year when my husband and I visit his family in China, I want to speak with my Chinese family, maybe not a fluent conversation, but just be able to speak freely a little bit instead of using translating softwares and pre-made phrases. I have no clue about expressing myself in Chinese yet :/

Oh well, long blog post today. I've had too much coffee! (6 cups) LOL

Got stuck again

Something is definitely not right with my forklift! Today I got stuck again, in the same place when driving up to the forklift room, and today I even paid extra attention to hit the top of the slope at full speed and with an angle. I don't think the new driving wheel on the forklift is right... I've never been stuck like that before, but now it's the 2nd day in a row. Luckily today a workmate came just seconds behind me, and he was driving one of the even smaller forklifts which is not sensitive to slopes at all. So after a few loud moments of forklift crashes, my forklift finally got a grip on the floor again and I could drive into the forklift room.

This morning I got up at my usual time to go to work. Had a headache in the morning which I just ignored. Just got dressed, took my B12 shot and left home about 15 minutes after getting out of bed- yep, I'm that fast in the morning ;) Got to work, headache still pretty bad, along with being real dizzy so I took a couple of painkillers and an anti-sickness pill. Luch break came, and I still didn't feel on top of things but decided to stay at work anyways. At 3pm I gave in and told my team leader that I had to go home. I was just feeling too unwell to last until 6pm. In the afternoon I have been feeling like as if having a fever, felt cold and shivering a bit even after putting on my college sweater over my work T-shirt. Don't know what's going on now really. Didn't have fever when I got home, but still feeling craptastic and have recently taken yet another anti-sickness pill. So if I fall asleep in mid-sentence you know why :P
I just hope I'll feel better tomorrow morning. I'd rather not have to stay home due to illness now when I've finally started working again after being on sickleave for two weeks for the B12 deficiency.

Got an invitation from my GP clinic a few days ago, about the swineflu vaccination. I knew it would come soon, and I had so been looking forward to do what I did with it: Tearing it into 1000 pieces and throwing it in the bin!
Yesterday I got an invitation for the vaccine from my boss, but I said thanks but no thanks, I'm not taking it!
I'm so sick of the flu talk everywhere all the time! It doesn't matter how much the media is nagging about it. I'M NOT GOING TO GET THE VACCINATION! And I'm sick of hearing people saying "It's your duty to the society to take it to protect others" No, it is NOT my duty towards the society to take a vaccination for a flu. Those people who don't want to risk getting the flu, THEY should take the vaccination and leave us who doesn't want the vaccination alone! I'm well aware of the risks of the flu, but I've never had a confirmed flu and I've never had a flu shot so why take the flu shot now?! I have a strong immune system and don't catch infections easily, seem to be resistant to most bugs- touch wood!

Dinnertime soon now.

Getting late...

About 10pm now. I'm pretty sleepy. Didn't have dinner before, just felt too tired to even think about it so decided to just relax instead. Would like to sleep now but my hair is still too wet- thank you new work schedule! I have a hairdryer around but it's about as effective as taking a drinking straw and blow on the hair... Along with making my hair all wierd. My hair really hates hairdryers and styling products! And it really doesn't get along with conditioner, but who needs those anyways! My hair rarely has any split ends, and that's with just 2 hair cuts per year, and not using conditioner when washing my hair. Even my hairdresser is totally amazed by that. And my hair is always very easy to brush through. And that's all I do with it: Wash, let dry in a towel or air dry, and brush it. Haven't had a haircut since June now, and my hair looks good still and can probably go at least until Christmas before having a haircut again.

Yep, you guessed it right: I'm BORED! And sleepy...
Really should have some snack before sleep too, will see what I can find in the kitchen.

Tomorrow is B12 day, going to have my shot before going to work in the morning, but it for sure won't make get up earlier than usual. I'm not at all afraid of needles so it only takes me a couple of minutes to finish the whole process of breaking that little vial open, draw the B12 up and inject it. Bought some fancy Disney bandaids and Tom and Jerry bandaids today too^^ Always need a bandaid after those injections to avoid stains on my clothes, so why not use some FUN bandaids, the regular ones are just too boring. I might be 24, but sometimes you just have to let yourself be a bit childish. Got some shorter needles today too so tomorrow I'll probably take my shot in the arm instead of on the bum. Want to rotate the sites a bit and not just use the same area all the time...
Just hope I'm not too tired to go to work tomorrow. It was so great to be back today again, even if it made me very tired. Just hope someone has managed to move my forklift tomorrow when I come...
My forklift got stuck in a small slope at work today when I was driving to the forklift room when finishing work, and even with my best efforts of unstucking it for about 10 minutes, it just wouldn't move because the driving wheel couldn't get a grip on the floor. Think someone will have to lift the back of it a little bit with a bigger forklift. I couldn't try that today though because I don't have licence to drive those big high lifting ones. The one I drive lifts pretty low. Guess my workmates will laugh at me tomorrow, but I'll just laugh with them. It is a well known fact that the kind of forklift I drive absolutely hates driving up or down a slope even on a concrete floor. And my forklift has recently gotten a new driving wheel and I feel it has been difficult to drive it today compared to before. The new wheel just doesn't get a good grip on the floor. Will have to mention that to the guy who deals with the reports about which forklifts needs to be checked when the maintainance and repairmen comes. My forklift really felt quite horrible to drive today, and normally that one is very nice to drive. Something is definitely not right with that new wheel it has... Oh well, my workmates and I will have a good laugh at it tomorrow :P

Hmm even after wasting about 20 mintues writing this blog, my hair is still no where near being dry enough for sleep... That is quite annoying...
Now I'd really better head into the kitchen to make a sandwich or a bowl of noodles. Feeling a bit lightheaded and that for me might mean having a little bit low bloodsugar...

Will update tomorrow sometime.

My first post

After not being able to figure out how to fully customize my other blog, I decided to give Blogger a try. I decided the other day to start blogging, and I'm 24 years old so it is about time to start!
I am as said above, 24 years old. I'm a Swedish woman, married to a Chinese man and I love him so incredibly much! I also like China very much, and actually feel more at home in China than in Europe. I'm a big fan of Chinese music and I'm trying to learn Chinese which is easier said than done when working fulltime and barely having time for anything else than work and sleep and being with my husband.

I've recently been diagnosed with B12 deficiency, if it's chronic or temporary I do not know now. But I currently inject myself with B12 twice weekly to regain my energy and well being again. It's been some rough months of not feeling well until finally having an answer on why I wasn't feeling well. I've just started working again today after being on sickleave for 2 weeks. My doctor said I had about 80% of the symtoms of B12 deficiency so he was pretty sure about the diagnose even before the lab results came. So with that knowledge it's really no wonder I have been feeling very tired and having a lot of headache, dizzyness and having my eyes acting wierd from time to time in the past months. Before I started with the B12 injections I could easily sleep for about 15 hours per day and still feel tired, and I could drink coffee all the time and it didn't affect me at all, I'd still have been able to more or less fall asleep while being upside down.

Now I'm going to have some dinner, and then relax because I'm very tired after work today.
